DIY Botanical-Imprinted Clay Jewelry Dishes

Enjoy this fun summer children's craft project with your littlest of hands!

You Will Need

  • fresh or dried botanicals
  • a block of white polymer clay
  • oven
  • acrylic paint
  • small tipped paint brush
  • Mod Podge
  • foam brush

My favorite crafting supplies and tools can be found on my Homeschool & Craft Amazon page.

To Make

  1. Gather your favorite botanicals. Those with firm petals and stems work best.
  2. On a flat, clean surface, mold the white polymer clay into the size and shape you desire. (4"-5" is a good diameter for round jewelry dishes.)
  3. Press lavender sprigs into the clay in interesting curves.
  4. Bake them in the oven at 175 degrees F for 15 min. Let cool completely.
  5. Paint the imprint with acrylic paint. Let dry completely, a minimum 1 hour.
  6. Cover with two coats of Mod Podge using a disposable foam brush, letting each coat dry for a minimum 1 hour.
